This
mural's main purpose is to expand the small yard and also, to blend the
necessary maintenance features of the yards, with the beautifully landscaped
garden...
The
main eye-soar was the bin in the corner of the yard that catches rain water
from the third floor balcony and gently distributes it to the garden.
We
were able to blend the bin with a coral reef koi pond. What you do not
see in this photograph is the view from the balcony, which would allow
you o see the koifish swimming inside the water. My murals are created
to look good from all points of view, even the third floor balcony.
The
other most challenging part of the project was matching the bricks on the
faux patio to the actual patio bricks on the real patio and scaling them
so they would appear proportional and in perspective. This was my favorite
part of painting the mural so far.

Many
details have been added at this stage, but many more are planned for when
the entire garden is finished. I am looking forward to adding humming birds
for the feeder and many other garden creatures.
